Timelines depend on scope. A bathroom remodel typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. A kitchen renovation runs 4 to 8 weeks. A home addition or second story can take 3 to 6 months. We provide a realistic timeline before work begins and keep you updated throughout.

In most cases, no. For kitchen and bathroom remodels or room additions, most homeowners stay in the home during construction. For full gut renovations or major structural work, temporary relocation may be needed for a portion of the project. We will be upfront about this during the consultation so you can plan accordingly.

A standard recommendation is 10 to 15 percent of your total project budget. Renovation projects can uncover unexpected conditions once work begins, particularly in older Long Island homes. We do our best to identify potential issues during planning, but having a contingency in place means no surprises derail your project.
